What is Mental Health
According to the World Health Organisation, mental health is about being mentally well enough to cope with the challenges of life, realise your abilities, learn effectively, work productively, and engage with society. It involves understanding and managing our emotions, feelings, and behaviours.
Our mental well-being impacts every aspect of our lives, from our physical health to our work, relationships, and influence on others. In Australia, the need for mental health professionals is expected to continue to grow as 45% of Australians aged 16-85 are expected to experience a mental illness at some stage in their lives (Source: Australian Human Rights Commission).
